Scope

Underwater hull inspections were conducted on four sister ships in Philadelphia and Baltimore using a VideoRay Pro4 ROV outfitted with a BlueView P900-130 multibeam sonar system. This configuration was effective in providing detailed information of the hulls’ conditions in waters’ with very limited visibility.

ROV provided images on the anti-fouling coating, stern frames, propellors, rudder and rudder posts, stern seals, seachest grating, sea values and other hull openings on these 946’ long by 105’ wide ships.
